Lupin III: The First is a Japanese 3D animated film from the genre of heist, comedy, and action and adventure drama. The heist film is based on the famous Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Monkey Punch, a well-known Japanese manga artist who also teaches at the Otemae University.

The film is written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki, and animated by Marza Animation in collaboration with TMS Entertainment.

The film has a great theme that involves a lot of action and suspense and it?s set in the 1960s, the era when Emperor Showa was the ruler of Japan. The film revolves around the famous character Arsene Lupin III, the Japanese gentleman thief, and his crew to Paris, France, and Brazil where they go to find the whereabouts of the Bresson Diary ? that?s a heap of treasure that even Lupin?s grandpa failed to find?

Lupin Vs The Nazis!

When they reach the location a deadly battle takes place there as the Nazi-led treasure hunter group led by Lambert and Geralt is also there to catch the treasure and mechanical diary. They are all in the race to steal the treasure and this creates a lot of suspense for the viewers. Whoever deciphers the mystery will become the owner of an enormous fortune.

The heist film has received very great applause for its many different aspects which include the screenplay, script, characters, visual graphics, music and scene sequencing, and superb animations. Lupin III received a selection for the 43rd Japanese Academy Award at the Annecy festival.
